Back In Action

Well the past two weeks here have been just Wild!  I can not even believe that last week we were dealing with an earthquake and after shocks that woke us up nightly and this week we've been without power until last night due to a hurricane.   My goodness!  I have to say we are very blessed because nothing happened to our house.  My poor neighbors and the rest of my neighborhood were not so lucky.  I just had to document Hanover Ave!  Here's the house at the end of our block.

Most of the roads in our neighborhood have been closed or blocked by trees.

And sidewalks, street signs, and traffic light were destroyed.

I know it was sooo much worse for so many other places so we are Very Lucky, But I am ready for life to get back to normal- AND to start blogging again!!!

Will Be Back Soon

Hello Hello!  I'll be back blogging as soon as I have power at home OR at work!  Since both places are out it's hard to find internet availability.  Hope everyone is well and Irene wasn't too bad!

Darling Shirt

So I am absolutely loving this shirt from Anthropologie.  The shirt in green is definitely going on my wish list!  How cute would it be with navy or white pants!

LOVE IT!

31st B-day!

We had a wonderful time in KW celebrating my 31st.  We got to visit with lots of family, hit up our fav spots.......

And even got to Relax a bit!

I am truly Blessed

Off To Key West

We are off to Key West to visit all the fam and I just happen to be turning 31 while we will be down there.  I'm not sure that I'm ready to be in my early 30's, but age is just a number---Right????? If ya have to get older I guess Key West is a good place to do it!

Right before we left I received the most beautiful present from my god daughter, Lily!  Lily and I have a tradition of giving each other Herend for special occasions.

I love anything to do with the beach and little did Lily know I would be spending by 31st at the beach.  I'm always super excited to add pink to my herend collection.  It will fit perfectly in my pink and green dining room.  Thanks Lily what a beautiful and thoughtful 31st gift.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Duggins

The Duggins Wedding was absolutely gorgeous and we were sooo excited to make the trip to celebrate with them!  It was held at The Belle Haven Yacht Club on the water in Greenwich, which was the perfect location!

The Three Virginian's made quite a name for themselves at the Rehearsal Dinner and for the rest of the weekend all three of us were referred to as Virginia!

Leah and Chris in Front of Belle Haven

Of course Leah and I sported Designs by Kara Kihm.  She looked great in The Lily while I HAD to design a dress perfect for the event- "The Amanda."  The Amanda was soooo representative of the bride and totally embodies her personality.   My goal in designing a dress is always to have it represent the character of the person it is named after.

The Amanda and The Lily in action

The Bride was stunning in her Monique Lhuiller Wedding Dress and her hair style was very similar to mine when I got married- A low bun with orchids.  It was gorgeous!

Quite the Threesome

Here's the back of the dress.

The flowers were absolutely beautiful!

We enjoyed music and cocktails outside while the wedding party took pictures after the ceremony.

And were then seated for a beautiful sit down dinner

After dinner we danced the night away!

Bonding with the Greenwich Girlies

Mr. and Mrs. Duggins have an Amazing time on your honeymoon!  What a stunning evening!  We could not be happier for you!

Exploring in CT

During the day we explored around town and found some great spots.  Greenwich had unbelievable shopping on Greenwich street, but we tried to stay clear because all of my extra money is going towards developing my fall line.   Amanda got us passes to Tod's Point which ended up being a beautiful spot to spend the day.

All of the areas on the Water were soooo beautiful!

I loved the decor of the location.

After we spent time on the beaches we enjoyed strolling through the beautiful parks.

Then it was time for a Bloody Mary!  l'escale was soooo delicious we went back for more!

And ended up having one of the Best Bloody Mary's of my life!!!

Next stop The Duggins Wedding!
