Christmas In Kiawah

We had a wonderful time in Kiawah for Christmas this year.  Mac and I thought it was the Best Year yet!  We were so blessed to have his parents and mine for the fist time at Christmas this year.

Mom and I wore our matching Tartan Christmas Outfits from Designs By Kara Kihm

and We enjoyed opening Christmas presents with the pups

The Christmas Day Martini's were divine

And it was lovely to take sunset walks on the beach

One of my dear friends from College joined us for an evening

And we had a wonderful time sipping wine at the Sanctuary

I hope you all had fabulous holidays as well

December Highlights Continued

It's been a year since I've joined the Junior League in Richmond and it's been a wonderful experience.  I've met so many great friends and had some incredible experiences through the organization.  Last year at Christmas time a group of us decided to go to The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond to grab cocktails.

The tree in the Lobby is always unbelievably beautiful at Christmas

This year we toasted our one year anniversary as friends and decided to make it an annual tradition.

I look forward to many more years of Christmas Cocktails with you all!

Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday season and Happy New Year.  I'm excited to blog about our December in the coming weeks.  Our New Year was uneventful, but very enjoyable.  I have actually been sick so Mac and I stayed in and grilled.  This was the first New Year I can remember not even having wine with dinner.  We had a lovely dinner and were in bed by 10pm.  If this is how we act in our 30's, I'm nervous for our elder years-Ha Ha!

After a relaxing evening in, we headed to my in-laws for New Years Day.

It was wonderful to spend New Years Day on The River with the dogs

And my mother in law performed her yearly ritual of jumping in the River

It truly does cleanse the soul

I hope all of your New Year Wishes Come True!

Time For The Holidays

I can not believe that today is the First Day of December! My My it has come quickly!  We have two holiday parties this weekend to kick of the season and I'm excited to wear my new winter designs!  I'm also excited to unpack all of the fun Christmas decor and turn the house into a Winter Wonderland!  Each year I collect Mackenzie Childs Christmas Tree Ornaments and our small tree is quickly growing.

I get so excited each year to check out the newest ornaments and have a few on my wish list for this Christmas!

Do you collect special ornaments for your tree?

Turkey Day

Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite holidays!  Each year we head down to the beach on my in-laws property and have an Oyster Roast.

Mac is in charge of manning the Oyster Station and does a beautiful job.

My father in-law always wears his traditional kilt made out of Tartan in his family Pattern.  My husband's name is McCarrick and he is called Mac for short.

The Dogs have a ball on the River and Lucile can't get enough of the water no matter what the tempature is.

Here's a close up of the fam minus Leonard.  He's hard to track down.
In my usual fashion, a game of late night dress up always ensues.

What are your Thanksgiving Traditions?

Happy Halloween!

Last weekend Stony Point Fashion Park hosted a Doggie Halloween Parade for all the adorable local pups to show off their costumes.  I just love that Stony Point is dog friendly and pups are allowed in all the stores!  They even have water stations throughout the mall for them.  Leonard and Lucile had a wonderful time and although they did not have a costume, we all dressed in Halloween colors and enjoyed the show.  Mac refused to color coordinate with us Ha Ha!

There were some interesting dog/owener costumes.  People were very creative.

And very cute doggies costumes as well.

Leonard and Lucile made a lot of new friends

And we all had a wonderful time!  What did you all do for Halloween weekend?
