Ledbury Party

We had a wonderful time celebrating the opening of Ledbury's new store.  It's in such a great location and I Loved the new building.  Richmond is full of old warehouses downtown that people are now turning into stores and condos.

Paul and Paul did a great job with the inside decor.

The evening was filled with cocktails, music, a preview of the new shirts, and enjoying time with great friends.

We found The Perfect Shirt for our Friend Jason.  He definitely needs it on his wish list.

Thanks for a great evening!  We are so excited about the new store!

Art 180 Benefit

It was wonderful to attend a benefit for Art 180 last week hosted by the Lovely JW.

"ART 180 creates and provides art-related programs for young people living in challenging circumstances, encouraging personal and community change through self-expression. The group is based in Richmond, Virginia and their mission is to give young people the chance to express themselves through art, and to share their stories with others.  The goal is that their work with young people will turn lives and communities around 180 degrees."

We had a lovely evening with wonderful friends and JW's house was decorated so beautifully!

If you are interested in becoming involved and helping to change the lives of children please visit Art 180 online!

Jazz

Last night The Richmond Jazz Society hosted Wallace Roney.  He was mentored by Miles Davis and has been performing since the age of 16.  His Quintet certainly put on an Amazing show!

Mac was very excited that the restaurant not only served his favorite beer, but that you got to keep the glass.

Needless to say John  and Mac left with boxes full of glasses.

The Girls.

Thanks John and Diana for the invitation!  It was a wonderful evening!

Derby Day

Even though my favorite choice-Derby Kitten did not win, I have to say Derby day was a lot of Fun!  Five friends and I attended the Richmond Ballet's Derby Party and we could not have asked for a better day!  The Annapolis made it's debut in Black and White.

Of Course they served my favorite drinks- Mint Juleps, which were delicious and also made with Makers!

All the Girls bet on their favorite horse; however,  I have to admit we chose our favorites based on the names and jockey uniforms!  Good Choice Alden!

The People watching is always my favorite part of going to a festive party and this jacket definitely took the cake!

I loved the sitting arrangements.  Perfect for the theme!

The Balcony over looking the James was beautiful!

After the race the dancing began and one gentleman was so happy to find a dance partner that he quickly forgot about his cane and tossed it onto the ground as he entered the dance floor!

Amanda must have that affect on men!  I'm thinking the cane was just a prop after checking out his moves!

It was a wonderful Derby Day and I will definitely be attending next Year!

The Kentucky Derby

Tomorrow Millions of Fans will look forward to-The Kentucky Derby. The Derby is about Tradition and Fashion as much as it is about the sport.

"Over its 136-year history, the Kentucky Derby has amassed dozens of traditions that millions of Derby fans worldwide hold dear.  From the iconic Twin Spires that overlook the track's famous homestretch to the potent mint juleps that infuse Derby Day with "spirit," traditions are an important part of the Derby experience. Every year, the Kentucky Derby Nation of fans looks forward to observing these storied rituals leading up to the "Greatest Two Minutes in Sports."

The Trophy of the Derby. It is made of 18 karat gold

The Garland of Roses
The Mint Julep is the Traditional Drink of the Derby, which happens to be my Fav!  Good thing Mac has perfected a Mint Julep Recipe-Ready for this weekend!
Derby Style Watch
"When it comes to horse racing's premier event, the competition isn't limited to the track itself. The Kentucky Derby and its sister event, the Kentucky Oaks, are the only sporting events that are also fashion events. Derby attendees spend as much time and money on their race-day apparel as they do at the betting window -- maybe more!"
This Year Vineyard Vines is the official style of The Kentucky Derby! Do you have your Derby outfit?

I'm excited to attend Richmond Ballet's Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Rocket's Landing.  Now I need a HAT!
What Derby Parties are in your area?

Monument Easter Parade

It was so fun to go to the Monument Easter parade with great friends!  Since my Easter Dress, The Elizabeth Anne was long sleeves and it was 90 degrees, I figured The Fair was the next best Dress for this event!

The Girls

                                            The Gents

We all had our fav cocktails and I love that Amanda's matched her dress!  Sooo coordinated!

Since I had given up bourbon for Lent-I had Makers on the Mind!

All of the yards were filled with Easter Decor and everyone was dressed for the theme.  Even the dogs were decked in their Easter finest!

Lucile and I were feeling left out and borrowed some festive gear!

I loved the Tutu wagon and Leonard wanted a ride!

By the end Leonard was exhausted and rolling around in sloshy mud puddles!  Classic!

It was a great Easter

HAPPY EASTER

I Can't Wait for The Monument Easter Parade!

                             Happy Easter Weekend!

Monkee's of Richmond

                Don't Miss Monkee's  Dress Event!

It won't be hard to find the perfect dress at Monkee's with designers such as Trink Turk, Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, Elizabeth McKay, Kate Spade and More!  When you make a purchase of 100 or more you also get to take home a free pashmina!
                             Happy Shopping!

Masters Weekend

The Masters is always a great reason to celebrate and get together with good friends!

I wanted to have some drinks and goodies for the Girls.  I think my sparkling white wine with fruit was a hit.  Light apps were also served.

The boys had a putting contest

And Lucile was ready to PARTY in her pearls.  Leonard was probably upstairs eating all the food.

I think I needed some action at one point (Shocking I know-doesn't sound like me) and initiated a game of dress up! I'm never sure what will pop in my head next!

And Yes I have finally found my partner in crime or (my Girlie, Erin, and Priscilla) in Richmond.  Someone willing to go along with my antics and laugh at my absurdity!

                                  It was a blast!
