Pool Side Gathering

Last Thursday LCB had a little pool side gathering/pre-memorial day weekend celebration!  I was very excited since it was the day before our Church Wedding and was telling everyone that it was my Bachelorette Party!

She really out did herself and the Skinny Girl Margs were a Hit!

Here are the actual brides to be getting married this summer!

It was a great way to kick off a long fun weekend!  Thanks LCB!  It was a blast!

Derby Day

Even though my favorite choice-Derby Kitten did not win, I have to say Derby day was a lot of Fun!  Five friends and I attended the Richmond Ballet's Derby Party and we could not have asked for a better day!  The Annapolis made it's debut in Black and White.

Of Course they served my favorite drinks- Mint Juleps, which were delicious and also made with Makers!

All the Girls bet on their favorite horse; however,  I have to admit we chose our favorites based on the names and jockey uniforms!  Good Choice Alden!

The People watching is always my favorite part of going to a festive party and this jacket definitely took the cake!

I loved the sitting arrangements.  Perfect for the theme!

The Balcony over looking the James was beautiful!

After the race the dancing began and one gentleman was so happy to find a dance partner that he quickly forgot about his cane and tossed it onto the ground as he entered the dance floor!

Amanda must have that affect on men!  I'm thinking the cane was just a prop after checking out his moves!

It was a wonderful Derby Day and I will definitely be attending next Year!

The Kentucky Derby

Tomorrow Millions of Fans will look forward to-The Kentucky Derby. The Derby is about Tradition and Fashion as much as it is about the sport.

"Over its 136-year history, the Kentucky Derby has amassed dozens of traditions that millions of Derby fans worldwide hold dear.  From the iconic Twin Spires that overlook the track's famous homestretch to the potent mint juleps that infuse Derby Day with "spirit," traditions are an important part of the Derby experience. Every year, the Kentucky Derby Nation of fans looks forward to observing these storied rituals leading up to the "Greatest Two Minutes in Sports."

The Trophy of the Derby. It is made of 18 karat gold

The Garland of Roses
The Mint Julep is the Traditional Drink of the Derby, which happens to be my Fav!  Good thing Mac has perfected a Mint Julep Recipe-Ready for this weekend!
Derby Style Watch
"When it comes to horse racing's premier event, the competition isn't limited to the track itself. The Kentucky Derby and its sister event, the Kentucky Oaks, are the only sporting events that are also fashion events. Derby attendees spend as much time and money on their race-day apparel as they do at the betting window -- maybe more!"
This Year Vineyard Vines is the official style of The Kentucky Derby! Do you have your Derby outfit?

I'm excited to attend Richmond Ballet's Annual Kentucky Derby Party at Rocket's Landing.  Now I need a HAT!
What Derby Parties are in your area?

Euforia

Last month we went to Puerto Rico.  If you ever find yourself in San Juan- Euforia is a must!

It's a FAB Spa and has great amenities, which includes a coffee bar, tea bar, and my favorite-A Bar Bar!

They even served my favorite cocktail ingredients.  What's better than a cocktails at the spa!

They also had baked goodies and sweets in the front!

Now I am just waiting for their arrival in Richmond!  I know they would be a hit :)
