Wedding Weekend

We had such a wonderful time celebrating the marriage of our dear friends this weekend in Greenwich, CT.   My best friend from high school and I made the road trip Friday am and arrived just in time for the Rehearsal Dinner!  It was a gorgeous event held outside on the water at L'escale.

Of course Leah and I sported Designs By Kara Kihm!  She wore The Annapolis and I wore The Priscilla!  I'm getting very good use out of the Priscilla this summer.

The outdoor seating area was just precious and we enjoyed cocktails outside before the dinner began.  The scene was soooooo Amanda and her dress even matched the pillows on the couches.

Here's the Bride to be and Matron of Honor-Sister of the Bride.

The beautiful bride with her beautiful mother.

The couple looked happy as ever and were ready for the big day!

After the Rehearsal we enjoyed cocktails and some very funny stories were told!  I love you girls and we always have such a Ball Together!

The Fair

I was soo thrilled when I read a recent post by My Life As Plate to see that she is loving The Fair and getting sooo much use out of it this summer!  I am just soooo happy and am glad the give away was a success!  I asked for her honest feedback when she received the dress because honestly I am open to constructive criticism and she said, "I wouldn't change a thing."  That's comforting to know!

So glad you are having a wonderful summer and Love the dress!

One Year Later

Last July we bought a home in Richmond that was a disaster case and that's putting it mildly.  One year after the renovations were completed we are settled in our home.  It was definitely worth all the hard work.

When we first walked in the ceilings and floors were missing-literally.

And all the doors could not close because they were destroyed.

The rooms were a mess and needed to be fully renovated.

After months of renovating-Thank Goodness for my father in-law! Here's the final product.

Blue and Yellow Family Room!  My fav colors!
Pink and Green Dinning Room.  Another fav color combo. When people ask me how I convinced Mac to let me have a pink and green room- I say "Wait til you see the basement."
Our bedroom is finally cozy and decorated.
And I think my fav color scheme is that of the bathroom.  Even the ceiling is wall papered.

The Basement went from unlivable-

To Mac's dream Man Cave.  I will admit this is not what I was envisioning and cried for several hours after the first time I saw the finished product, but it has grown on me over time.  This is the one room Mac has full rein to decorate and he made sure it had a Key West atmosphere in honor of The Wilson's.

The Wilson pub with a full wrap around bar is a unique feature that no other house in our neighborhood has and unfortunately sometimes does not close until 4am.  I was thinking of a kids play room and this is what Mac designed. What can ya do?????

We've come a long way in a year and are finally settled in :)

Don't Miss Out

Don't miss out on the amazing sale Kayce Hughes is having.

I got some precious goodies and Can't Wait for their arrival.

There are so many darling things to choose from, the hardest part is deciding what to get!

Congrats Cil!

My dearest friend from college who "The Priscilla" is named after has recently gone through a career change.  She is leaving teaching behind to stay at home with her darling daughter and is now blogging full time for a wonderful wedding website.  You must check it out!  You can follow along on her blog and see the latest and greatest for wedding tips! Cil has an amazing sense of style and I am very excited to follow her new journey.

In addition she also has a personal blog, which is on my list of favorites-Make It Beautiful.

Make It Beautiful is a place for her to share beautiful moments while traveling through life as a wife, mother, wannabe fashionista and writer.  I've just loved following her blog and learning about her beautiful moments teaching, helping others, and writing (her dream to to teach therapy through journaling) while at the same time learning fashion tips and about great shopping!

Cil has been my number one advocate and and greatest supporter while trying to get my clothing line up and running.  She's truly and inspiration and I wish her the Best of Luck in her new career!

The Amanda Has Arrived

The count down is on, and in less than a week we will celebrate my dear friend's wedding in Greenwich, CT.  Of course I had to design a dress.  I think it's just perfect for an out door wedding on the water and I can not wait to debut it!  Here's the Amanda!

 The Back

 What do you think?

The Kubacki's

My mother's family, The Kubacki's are a large, fun loving, Catholic family from Cleveland, and we are all very close.  There are 62 Kubacki's total and we make sure to get together at least annually for a reunion or event.   We live every where from Seattle, to Chicago, to Boston, to NYC, to D.C so it is really incredible that we all make the effort. The Kubacki symbol is The Pink Elephant in honor of the restaurant my grandfather used to own and you are bound to find several people wearing  pink elephants on their attire at each event (The Smathers and Branson pink elephant belt has been a huge hit with our family and also Thomas Pink's Pink Elephant Tie).  This summer we gathered at Whiskey Island (love the name) where my uncle Tim runs a restaurant and marina for my cousin's wedding.  It was wonderful to see everyone and we had a Blast!!!!!

My cousin Brad and I have always been Best Friends and seem to end up matching at family events!  Loved the Red and Seersucker Combos!  Last year we matched in pink combos.  Now I just wish this would accidentally happen with Mac, but no such Luck.

The Erin
We could not have asked for a more perfect evening!

The Priscilla in Aqua made her debut And my cousin Liz sported her purchase, The Fair in Navy!  It looked fabulous on her!

The men enjoyed cigars

And my mom and Aunts enjoyed dancing the night away!

After the evening had ended we enjoyed some cocktails on my uncle's boat and laughed all night.

It was soooo wonderful to see everyone and I have always been so proud to be a part of such an incredible family.
